Helen Is Pulling a Long Con

People have speculated about this over at the Fuselage. I really couldn’t see it. Helen seems to be as genuine as can be.

I decided to rewatch the episode. This time really watching for clues that might support this theory. I have to admit upon reviewing the episode I am leaning more and more to the fact that she was part of the con.

There are several clues but nothing significant. We start with the fact that Helen is the one that notices Cooper is dead. When the bruisers come to check up on Locke at the house Helen is angry, not scared. Helen then shows up at the motel at just the right moment. Another minute later and she would have missed everything. Finally, when Locke tries to explain everything to her she just walks away.

Now I don’t want to diminish the value that Helen might have placed in Locke being honest with her but seriously … hear the guy out. There is a pretty darn good explanation. At the minimum she should at least be curious as to why the guy faked his death, why thugs are chasing after him, etc.

So, I can’t say for sure that she was part of it. But on the other hand I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if she ended up playing a major role in the con.

Interesting Threads for 3/29 Episode

Here are some of the topics being discussed over at the Fuselage:

1. A great (and funny) overview of what we learned from this episode.

2. What was Jack doing in Thailand?

3. Was the food really dropped from a plane?

4. Did Henry enter the code?

5. Was Helen part of the con to get the money for Locke’s dad?

6. Is Locke’s dad the real Mr. Sawyer?

7. Is Henry really Kelvin?

8. Here are some thoughts from the writer regarding the episode.

9. Have we seen the Staff station? We think that was the station in Claire’s episode a few weeks back. HERE is a different opinion.
