This Looks Familiar
There was an awkward moment when Danielle entered the room where they were going to remove Claire’s baby. If you recall Claire notices the medicine cabinet is tipped over. She wants to lift it up in hopes of finding the vaccine. Danielle is in the room with her. Claire asks for help several times but Danielle is spacing out - looking at the room - oblivious to Claire’s call for assistance.
Danielle is kind of spacey to begin with so I didn’t really notice the significance of the scene. However, after watching it again, the wife came up with the answer. Danielle has been in the room before. She doesn’t know how or why or when but there is something very familiar about it.
Our guess, this is where Danielle lost Alex. Danielle was brought in - just like Claire. Alex was most likely taken from her womb - just like they were going to do to Claire. And remember, up until Claire was regressed she didn’t recall what happened while she was there. I don’t think that Danielle knows yet what happened - but I’ll bet that her memory will start coming back.
I agree, Danielle looked dazed as if deja vu! But didn’t she tell Said her son, Alex, was killed long ago with the others???

Mama Mia - Alex is Danielle’s daughter. For most of the first season everyone assumed that Alex was a boy but we know now that Alex is a girl.
Danielle had Alex taken from her (at least that is how she remembers it). The last episode of Season 1 has Danielle taking Aaron away from Claire in an attempt to swap Aaron for Alex. Of course, that didnt’ quite work out as planned.
My theory is that Danielle had her baby taken exactly the same way Claire was going to lose Aaron. Once the baby was taken memories are wiped out or planted that led Danielle to believe that “the Others” took her baby from her camp.
